Dark Souls 3 Cloud Gaming
No wait. I think you don't understand. Your input will not be rendered on your side, just at their side where the output volition happen. So it all happens on their side with zero lag.Well multiplayer though. But it will be cloud driven with local servers. It is likely that the servers will exist adjusted for delays betwixt them. Thus reducing multiplayer problems over large distances. Theoretically at least seems possible to solve latency.
Agreed the input is rendered on the server, but crucially the output is displayed remotely hence the latency will still be an issue.
Ouch just found some numbers on the input latencies in this youtube;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?5=jRCGsZCYowg
Looking like 70-100ms, that'due south pretty bad
It will e'er have a larger minimum latency than a local computer. The distance between your keyboard and PC are so small that the lag from that is neglible. Most actual lag from your own hardware comes from some processing layers and OS. This can be only a few ms. If you want a game from a server to respond like that y'all're going to need to use magic because if you press a push at time 0, the server wont know you even pressed information technology till time = 15-insertbiggerlaghere (can hands be 50-200 ms in some places. That'southward before your input even gets candy. Then the input gets processed, an image sent dorsum to your monitor.. and and so add in 1-five ms delay depending on the speed of that process and you're sitting at 15+15+1 ms in a very very favourable environment. This type of speed can be very acceptable. The just issue is that this assumes the processing of information is instantaneous on their server and the 15 ms lag is really most unlikely. Then you tin can look more like the reported delays of 100 ms or more. Makes sense if you ask me. 100 ms becomes very noticable if you've ever played fps or other high speed games.
While there is a fine interest in other things, practise think this is DS3 and not off topic.
I recollect you are wrong. Look, really your keyboard is not inside your PC fifty-fifty as we speak. Information technology is in your tabular array. So you send point to your box, information technology analyzes it, reacts immediately and send to your Idiot box. SO basically the same happens, only it happens over larger distance. Whether the PC is next to your table or 100 miles abroad, does non matter. Because all processes happen away from you lot. You always take lag, because the connexion is not instant.
Their servers take to expect for your betoken, work with your input, and then send it dorsum. This needs time, not much with a good connection simply still.
No, the signal has a speed, 2/3 of the speed of calorie-free (If the a fast google search was right). For your 1m cable from keyboard to PC information technology is basicly instant (1/199861638 s is instant for us humans).
If you increase the distance you increase the fourth dimension, not much, because nosotros are talking about a very loftier speed.
Now look at a greater distance, Los Angeles to Jerusalem for example, 12000km are between them. I do not know how Stadia exacly works, but I assume that they do not have everything on every server, so I merely make an example over a probably long distance here.
Your signal alone would need 0,12 sec from Jerusalem to LA and back, that with a perfekt cable connectedness. It is still not much but noticeable and far from instant.

Sounds good for people who are on the edge of wanting to play video games but they don`t want to spend money on an expensive PC or console. the mayor obstacle to this project will be ISPs
In theory, it sounds pretty astonishing, but like others have stated, it will come with some hefty latency issues.

To be fair information technology'll depend on the game, something strategic like XCOM swell no trouble, but any FPS or Dark Souls blazon game won't be cracking.

Bad video. In that location is a narrator whose just goal is plain to downplay the engineering science.
While there is a fine involvement in other things, practise remember this is DS3 and not off topic.
You too

Yes. I assume it must exist over special channel, like special port in the protocol.
I wonder if this post will derail
I heard about a similar service called Shadow a few months ago. I think information technology'due south without a doubt the hereafter of gaming. Y'all get a part of their organisation with 100gig (edit: 100 mb) cyberspace, your own personal fully operational Windows OS (that is stored on their servers), and instant access to games (no 50 gig downloads). All for a monthly fee and your own potato computer.

Thanks for your input but your video is most phones. Garbage video. Are you lot playing DS3 on a phone ?

The offset viii seconds he says on whatever device numnuts.

The outset 8 seconds he says on any device numnuts.
Now that is dumb. You posted a video based on eight seconds of listening to it ?
